Joe Allen-Black is a 20-something-year-old Web developer and producer who loves teen-angst movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, pistachios and the color green.
He's a Boston-area resident, where he is a producer for the Boston Globe/Boston.com
-- a job that affords him enough money to feed his desire to buy new gadgets and dining out around the Hub.
Joe grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from high school in Muskegon, Mich., on the state's west side. During high school, he worked for the local Muskegon Chronicle, a Newhouse newspaper.
While in college, he interned for five newspapers and was editor of the University of Florida's student-run paper, the Independent Florida Alligator.
Right after college, he worked at The Florida Times-Union/Jacksonville.com as a reporter, producer and developer.
In his spare time, he spends entirely too much time redoing Food Network recipes.
