Core responsibility is to oversee and develop content for the News and Business channels of Jacksonville.com.

Other responsibilities include:
» Starting new initiatives to grow audience such as starting our newsletters program, adding tracking to our RSS feeds, creating/coding/launching schools.jacksonville.com and working to better optimize our pages for search engines.
» Working closely with technical services and developers to overhaul templates and parts of our content management system.
» Overseeing our elections coverage and content.
» Developing our database offerings by using vendor services or coding searches myself.
» Filling in for the development team when members left or were pulled away from editorial projects.

Ownership: Morris Communications
Coverage: Reports on the Northeast Florida counties of Duval, Nassau, St. Johns and Clay as well as parts of Southern Georgia. The paper is based out of Jacksonville, Fla.
